After the accident, my life has changed completely, which was unbearable for me as a formerly active athlete. Luckily, several years ago new opportunities appeared and I have returned to sports and swimming. It isn't simple, as I am not an independent person. When I go to competitions or training camps, I'm accompanied by a person who helps me with the basic tasks of everyday life.

Thanks to my own perseverance, determination and hard training, I have broken the barriers of my disability and began to achieve successes.

There is a multitude of new challenges ahead of me - domestic and international competitions - the highlight of which is to be my appearance at the next Paralympic Games in Beijing in 2008.

Unfortunately, the reality is cruel and despite the fact that I have represented Poland at the Athens games and I represent our country in international competitions, I'm not receiving any sports stipend, neither from the Polish Olympic Committee, nor from the club and the money from my disability pension isn't enough for anything.

Wishing to meet all the challenges I had planned, I kindly request that you consider the possibility of assisting me financially, which would enable me to continue training. I dream of winning a medal in Beijing. That's my most important goal.

I believe that my athletic achievements to date and perseverance in working towards a goal will make it easier for you to make a decision that's beneficial to me and the funds invested in me will bring successes.
